From stuck and frustrated… to strong and inspired


As a kid, I grew up watching my mum struggle with her weight and her health, never knowing what to do, wishing there was something I could do to help. Then, in my early 20s, I unexpectedly found myself facing serious liver health issues — and quickly realised the guidance I needed from my medical team just wasn’t there. I felt confused, unsupported, frustrated… even desperate.

That sense of helplessness stayed with me for a while. So I did what I could: I started reading, learning, digging deeper. I discovered how sugar affects the body — especially the liver — and gradually began to change my own habits. At first, it was swapping chocolate for cornflakes and juice for water. Not perfect (cornflakes aren’t exactly low-GI!), but it was a start.



Over time, my tastes changed and my understanding deepened. These days, I genuinely enjoy 85% dark chocolate (which I used to hate!) and food tastes better all round. More importantly, I’ve seen how powerful habit change can be — and how much it adds up, step by step.

These days, I’m training for an Olympic-distance triathlon — something I never thought myself capable of. But what matters most? As a professional health coach, every day I get to help hundreds of people improve their health, boost their energy and reclaim their wellbeing.
